“We cannot say who is better. We compare them in different aspects: more durable, better quality, better quantity. After a vaccine, immunity is much more specific, more effective, and can last longer. The vaccine creates immunity against the most important antigen of the virus: the spike protein. The immune system reacts against many antigens of the virus and not all responses are effective. We only need the part that can neutralize the virus, explained Dr. Velikova to Bulgaria ON AIR.

“She noted that during infection, the number of leukocytes and lymphocytes drops dramatically. Immunity suffers when it encounters the virus. It leads to various complications, and sometimes the immune system becomes overactive, leading to disorders.” it was clear in his words.

“If we trust the data so far, more durable and more effective in fighting infection without suppressing the immune system, this is the immunity of the vaccine,” said the immunologist.

What vaccine to choose?

“The three registered vaccines are extremely close and have a very high safety profile. You cannot say that one vaccine is better than others. We do not apply the age criteria because there is additional data available. The truth is that all three vaccines protect against extremely effective against complications ”, assured Dr. Velikova.
