A serious incident in the capital last night. A young man died after trying a dangerous selfie. The 19-year-old boy fell from a bridge onto a train in Druzhba and was hit by an electric arc.
Police are investigating the cause of the incident. According to initial information, the young man and two other girls wanted to take a photo.
The incident occurred at 3:35 in the morning. The three young men climbed onto a bridge. Trains haven’t passed from there for years and the place is difficult to access.
Most likely the goal of young people is to take extreme selfies, say police and the Emergency Service.
The attempt to take a selfie proved fatal for the 19-year-old. The team was on the scene for 8 minutes, found the child dead, the Emergency Service announced.
In front of our team, a witness, who requested anonymity, explained that the two girls and the boy were bent over the installation, then the boy received an electric shock and then fell.
The place is difficult to access for both pedestrians and vehicles. Access to the abandoned tracks is through the forest.
Unlike the bridge used next door, there are no safety devices on site. Part of the bridge fence is also missing.
The dangerous fashion for extreme selfies is gaining more and more popularity among young people, explains psychotherapist Daniela Tahirova. According to her, filming dangerous scenes, in addition to adrenaline, is done as a way to attract attention.
“They need to be seen, to be noticed. These photos are published on Facebook, they are talked about, they are commented on. They realize that this is dangerous, but that doesn’t stop them. Question of opposition to the system. This is for them: “You won’t tell me how to live my life,” explained child psychologist Daniela Tahirova.
The expert added that the way to avoid this type of incident is more frequent conversations between parents and children about where to direct the emotions of young people.

The Ministry of Transport explained that today they could not contact them, and the Police are still investigating the incident.
