The code orange and the code yellow for heavy rains have been announced almost throughout the country, BNT reported.
The reason for the complicated rainfall situation in our country are two Mediterranean cyclones. During the night, the former had already retreated to the east-northeast. In the hours leading up to noon in the western half of the country, precipitation will weaken, in some places and temporarily stop.
It will continue to rain in eastern Bulgaria. A temporarily strong moderate northwest wind will blow. After noon from the southwest, under the influence of a new Mediterranean cyclone, the precipitations will intensify. The wind will be oriented from the northeast, it will be moderate, in the east of Bulgaria and temporarily strong and with it it will continue to invade the cold air.
In the Fore-Balkans, in the high fields of western Bulgaria, and at night in Ludogorie, the rain will turn to snow. In total, significant quantities are expected for the situation: between 15 and 35 l / m2, in places in south-eastern Bulgaria up to 50-60 l / m2. Temperatures will not have a significant daily course, mostly between 3 ° and 8 °.
It will also be cloudy in the mountains. There will be fog and there will be precipitation in many places, mainly snow. A strong wind will blow, in the hills and temporarily stormy from the south-southwest, which during the day in the low mountainous parts will be oriented from the northeast. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1200 meters will be approximately 3 °, at 2000 meters, approximately minus 2 °.
