Ali Sow’s transfer to Dijon failed at the last minute! The Gambian remains in the army at least until winter.
The news was confirmed by the footballer himself on social networks. Shortly after, le10sport.com released more details on the matter.
The reason for the failure of the deal is a technical problem, due to which Dijon was unable to register Sow. The transfer window in France closed at 23:59 on October 5 and, according to a publication by journalist Alexis Bernard de Dijon, they managed to register the transfer at 00.04 on October 6, so the deal was canceled.
Ali Sow says goodbye to CSKA
The Gambian signed with Dijon
The two clubs had specified everything about the transfer of the 26-year-old footballer to the French club. CSKA would receive 3.5 million euros and another in the form of bonuses. However, the local authorities did not show understanding and the transfer failed.
The footballer himself uploaded a photo of the signing of his contract to social networks, but soon after he deleted the photo and uploaded a new one with the CSKA team.
“I received offers from various European clubs, including Dijon, but I decided to stay at CSKA. My heart is red and CSKA is my family,” wrote the forward.
