Young people from the Albanian opposition in North Macedonia burned a geography textbook in front of the Ministry of Education, Nova Makedonija reported.
Textbooks are said to contain false statements. Albanians are said to be of Turkish, Roma and Chergez origin.
Some of them are said to be in Macedonian territory for political reasons. A spokesperson for the Alliance for an Albanian Alternative said the textbooks laid the groundwork for anti-Albanian sentiment.
About thirty policemen arrived at the scene. The protesters were questioned.
