Hours after it became clear that Cornelia Ninova was winning a second term as the leader of the BSP, she, her main opponent and until recently the right-wing party Kiril Dobrev, spoke of consolidation and announced that the “enemy of the BSP” was the government. by Boyko Borissov.
On Saturday, Ninova won 43 228 of the votes, and Dobrev – 7914. They voted 53 807 of 80 236 socialists.
At Positano 20, Cornelia Ninova, who congratulated the Socialists on fair elections and a high institutional culture, said that the vote confirmed the BSP’s course: surrender behind the scenes, fight the mafia and change the country’s governance model. She said the high activity was proof that the party was consolidated despite suggestions that it was divided and crumbling.
“The enemy of the BSP is not within the party, but within the Council of Ministers,” Kiril Dobrev wrote on Facebook. He said he was not a candidate for the GERB and the internal opposition. He also wanted Ninova to win the parliamentary elections.
Today, Ninova commented that her relationships with her opponents are normal, but dismissed the question of whether Dobrev, who is still vice president of the BSP, will remain on her team on the grounds that Congress must first elect a National Council. Then he will nominate his alternates and the Executive Bureau.
According to several socialists, the majority of the delegates in Congress are part of the internal opposition and must elect a National Council in which it is important that the leader has support. Until now, Ninova has had trouble taking his proposals to plenary.
