A day after announcing that MRF MP Delyan Peevski had targeted his business and ruled the country in a triumvirate with Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and Chief Prosecutor Ivan Geshev, Plamen Bobokov was given a new post. It is for illegal possession of archaeological objects and is probably related to his private numismatic museum in Ruse. The inspections there began in the summer, but now charges have been filed, literally hours after his outbursts.
There is a triumvirate
On Sunday, bTV broadcast an interview with business brothers Plamen and Atanas Bobokovi, owners of the Monbat battery plant. The two announced that the “leader” of the action against them was Prime Minister Borissov, and Peevski used him to take over his affairs.
“There is a triumvirate that rules this country: Borisov, Peevski and Geshev.“Plamen Bobokov said.
He currently faces three charges. In addition to illegally possessing antiquities, he was accused of participating in a criminal group, as well as receiving messages from a military intelligence report sent to him by Presidential Secretary Plamen Uzunov. The accusation of a criminal group affirms that together with his brother Atanas Bobkov they participated in a scheme led by the former Deputy Minister of the Environment Krassimir Zhivkov, through which tons of hazardous waste were stored in our country. The two affirm that “everyone knows” who imported waste into our country: businessman Hristo Kovachki and companies close to the prime minister.
In one of the cases, Bobokov posted bail of BGN 1 million to be released. Last week, his brother Atanas, who had been detained for months, paid BGN 2 million.
We have not talked in a long time
In addition to pointing out him as the director of the prosecutor’s activity against them, Plamen Bobokov called the prime minister a liar and manipulator, so he has not spoken to him for a long time. He added that the only one who wanted to acquire his business was Peevski. Atanas Bobokov, on the other hand, suspected that the MP was blocking bank financing.
“Borisov is an infinitely cowardly man. He is terrified that everything that happened thanks to him could come back to him. I think he figured: Bozhkov, Bobokovi and here … Radev’s name appears, so Radev takes care of everything …“Plamen Bobokov said.
So far, the prosecution has not officially announced its new indictment. Information about him came from Bobokovi’s publicist, Ani Alexandrova. In a statement to the media, he said that the fight with the businessmen continues. According to her, from the end of May until now, the balance is of three unproven charges, arrest of Atanas Bobokov, more than BGN 3 million paid for guarantees and “Active black public relations with the target company and their families, in the media serving the government“.
