American actor Eddie Hassel was shot and killed. Fire against him broke out on Sunday morning. The reasons are still being investigated, but according to initial reports, the case is related to the theft of a car, Variety reports.

According to a New York Times publication, the actor was shot in front of his girlfriend’s apartment in Grand Prairie, a suburb of Dallas, around one in the afternoon on Sunday. A Hassel spokesman told the newspaper that the actor was shot in the abdomen and taken to a nearby hospital, where he died.
Hassel became famous for his roles in the 2010 Oscar-nominated film “Boys Are Good” and the NBC television series “Surface.”
