The Zagrey winery in Parvomay was subjected to an identical action to the Hypoland inspection. According to its owner, Yordan Kostadinov, the reason is that the winery workers went on an official branded bus to the protest on 2 September in Plovdiv.
The bus was stopped between Parvomay and Plovdiv and was inspected for 45 minutes, the workers said they were going to protest, they wrote down their names and let them continue.
Two days later, inspectors from 4 institutions – NRA, Customs, State Fund “Agriculture” and Economic Police – came to the warehouse.
The inspectors said they did not know what specific suspicion they were being sent for, the bosses only told them to go check.
Two of the institutions, the NRA and the SFA left very quickly, the inspectors said they saw no reason to inspect. The other two institutions, Customs and Economic Police, have been in control for a long time. After the inspection, they wrote a report that there were no violations, Yordan Kostadinov told OFFNews.
On September 2 he was not even in Bulgaria. I am prohibited from talking about politics in the winery’s territory, but most of the workers are young people between 30 and 40 years old, they know languages, they are educated. It is clear to me that they support the protests.
When the inspection was over, I had guests from Austria in the cellar. They grabbed each other by the head, Kostadinov said.
According to him, there are inspections in the warehouse approximately once every 6 months. But since it exists, the inspection has always been from one institution, after a while from another. We have never been controlled by 4 institutions at the same time, Kostadinov commented. According to him, it is obvious that the inspection is a criminal action for the participation of the protest workers.
I ask who is this official who has the authority to send 4 institutions for inspection at the same time. Must be a high official. I want to know who he is and if he has exceeded his powers, said Kostadinov.
Kostadinov is a former NMSS deputy and former director of the Kozloduy nuclear power plant. He claims that since he left the National Assembly in 2009 he has not been involved in politics.
I am a rich man, I will emigrate to Austria, where my sister lives, and I will recover. But the winery employs between 50 and 60 people, it is normal to have such a seizure, Kostadinov said.
