Silvia Miteva’s car crashes into a truck
Two-time Republican wrestling champion Silvia Miteva died in a serious accident with a semi-trailer truck, the ODMVR-Stara Zagora reported.
After the accident, the 21-year-old athlete was taken to hospital in critical condition, but the doctors were unable to fight for her life.
The accident occurred on the lands of the village of Byalo Pole on Monday. The truck, driven by a 64-year-old man from Haskovo, collided head-on with Miteva’s car for an as yet unidentified reason. The driver of the heavy vehicle tested negative for alcohol.
Pre-trial proceedings have started in the case.
