A 74-year-old man was killed by BGN 20 and a mobile phone. The brutal crime was committed in the village of Stara Zagora in Dabovo. He’s already arrested.
Elijah, 74, was attacked and killed on December 3. A day later, his son meets him at the door of his house. Following a report to the police, the main suspect in the crime was arrested.

“A 24-year-old man, not criminally exposed, not convicted. He took a negligible amount, the victim had it on himself – 20 BGN and a mobile phone,” explained ODMVR director – Stara Zagora, senior commissioner Stoyan Stoyanov.
The main version forensic scientists are working on is robbery. The old man was killed in a particularly cruel way.
“Death occurred as a result of a blow with the hands, with a hard object, there is also a wound,” Stoyanov explained.
The 24-year-old man arrested for the murder lives next door. He tried to erase his tracks.

“The mobile phone that he took during the commission of the crime was found in a pawn shop in the city of Kazanlak, where he personally pawned it. He had tried to cover up the traces of the crime by burning the clothes he was wearing, ”said District Attorney Said Atanasov.
Two other stolen cell phones of neighbors were found in the detainees’ house. And according to the neighbors, both the victim and the aggressor were quiet people. If convicted, the 24-year-old could face life in prison.
