Under the supervision of the Stara Zagora District Prosecutor’s Office, the police are investigating the murder of a 13-year-old girl from the village of Skobelevo in Pavelba. A 14-year-old boy from the same town was arrested for the crime. This was confirmed today for “24 Chasa” the District Attorney of Stara Zagora Said Atanasov.

The incident occurred on Saturday at 3 pm on a street in the gypsy neighborhood of Skobelevo. The two boys got into a fight over some things, during which Tujai pulled out a knife and stabbed Diana 3 times; two of the blows hit the girl’s heart and kidneys, the village says. Relatives called an ambulance, but decided it would be delayed and loaded the injured boy into a private car to take him faster to the Emergency Center in Kazanlak. He died on the way. The girl is in seventh grade at Skobelevo primary school.

Tudjai is an eighth grade student at Pavel Banya, who turned 14 a few months ago. Until last year he studied at Skobelevo. The resource teachers worked with him there because he had special educational needs. A complex psychological and psychiatric examination has been appointed to establish his current status, the district attorney added.

First, the child was detained for 24 hours, the prosecution will extend his detention for another 72 hours. Further measures will be taken according to the results of the experience: the prosecution can request the permanent arrest of the perpetrator, but he can be placed for treatment in a specialized medical institution.

A forensic medical examination was also designated for pre-trial proceedings. The knife with which the murder was committed was seized by investigators.
