The shocking story is from the town of Krumovgrad.
The designated examination of the mother demonstrated that she suffers from paranoid schizophrenia. Her husband was in prison and she raised the children in her parents’ home. In recent months, however, it has become aggressive. He threatened to kill his father-in-law while he slept.
The children were under stress. He kept them locked in a room. He didn’t let them go to school. The town mayor even ushered the school bus driver past his house so the children could get to school.
During a checkpoint after a signal from the police officers, the woman fled into the forest with her daughter. He did not let her go to school for fear that the boy’s father would kidnap him and “sell him abroad,” people familiar with the case revealed.
The woman’s behavior involved various institutions to attend to the case. He was identified as a threat to others.
The Krumovgrad District Prosecutor’s Office appealed to the court with a request for involuntary placement for treatment. The magistrates agreed to the request and the woman must be treated at the State Psychiatric Hospital for two months.
