In the territory of Dupnitsa, a specialized police operation was carried out today to combat domestic crime, including the possession and distribution of excise goods without excise labels, announced the press center of the Interior Ministry.

The actions were carried out by employees of the General Directorate of the National Police, their colleagues from the Dupnitsa Regional Directorate and representatives of the city’s Customs Agency, under the direction of the Prosecutor’s Office.

As part of the operation, an inspection of a warehouse in a warehouse for car repair was carried out in the town of Dupnitsa.

The police found and seized 3,616 liters of diesel fuel on the premises, so no documents of origin and special taxes were presented.

Diesel fuel was stored in 3 one-ton tanks and a metal tank to which a metering device and a refueling gun were attached.

Two men, aged 27 and 71, were detained in police custody.

A pre-trial procedure has been initiated in the case under art. 234 of the Penal Code, the documentation work continues under the direct supervision of a prosecutor from the Dupnitsa Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
