A man and a woman were found dead with gunshot wounds to the head in a car in Mallorca, writes The Olive Press, quoted by Blitz.
The victims, a 37-year-old Spaniard and his 36-year-old Bulgarian girlfriend, were found near a gas station in Peguera yesterday afternoon.
A customer alerted emergency services after noticing large amounts of blood on the car windows.
Both had identical gunshot wounds to the head and a rifle was found between the man’s legs.
The initial hypothesis of the police is that the deaths are part of murders and suicides.
Investigators believe the man, a former soldier, killed his girlfriend before committing suicide.
According to Diario de Mallorca, there were no cases of sexual violence during their relationship.
The Bulgarian worked in the same Magaluf nightclub with the man who left the army a few years ago.
According to press reports, he possessed a valid license to carry a weapon.
Autopsies are now being carried out while the police question family and friends.
