Bad weather conditions, which previously affected western Greece with rains and strong winds, covered the entire country, reports the state news agency AMNA.

The snowfalls occur mainly in the mountains of western Greece, and heavy rains fell in eastern Macedonia and Thrace, accompanied in some places by storms, FOCUS reported.

Temperatures remain high during the season due to the southerly winds. Forecasters expect the weather to improve gradually from Monday.

Meanwhile, due to a severe snowstorm that hit Montenegro in the last 24 hours, part of the northern part of the country was left without electricity, and in some municipalities electricity supply has not yet been restored due to serious damage to the network, according to the Macedonian website Press24.

According to information from the company that maintains Montenegro’s electricity distribution system, wet snow has fallen in the northern part of the country, which is particularly problematic for the grid.

The teams are working in the field and have managed to stabilize the electricity supply in most of the affected municipalities, but work continues to address the problem in rural areas.

A red warning code for dangerous weather is in effect in Croatia, reports the Index.hr news site, which specifies that snowfall in the country continues and a storm is hitting coastal areas.

According to the latest information in the media, currently the largest snow cover in the country is in Gorski Kotor: 30 centimeters. The wind in the area is strong.

Hurricane force winds and heavy rains are expected along the coast, especially in the Dalmatia region. Hail and even storms are possible locally.

The Croatian Hydrometeorological Institute has issued a red warning code for the Rijeka, Kvarner and Velebit region, and an orange code for the Gospic region, the west coast of Istria and Dalmatia.

Strong winds of 110 to 200 kilometers per hour are expected in Rijeka.

The snowfalls paralyzed parts of Serbia, with the most serious situation in the Uzice region in the western part of the country, Macedonian TV21 reports.

The settlements in the vicinity of the city are blocked by the snow storm. Snowplows are working on the site, trying to reach the villages. Many of them have lost power. Teams have been sent to the power company to fix the problem.

Local authorities say that all problems will be fixed at the end of the day.
