The shocking suicide of a Bulgarian woman, mother of 4 children, shook Greece. Miglena Stoyanova-Mushonas, 30, a native of Varna, ended her life by throwing herself into a 70-meter ravine on the Kalanos-Kombigadi provincial road in Erimantas municipality, Patras. Miglena leaves 4 orphans: 11, 8, 7 years old and a 6 month old baby.
A 30-year-old mother died of serious injuries to her chest and abdomen, writes the Trud newspaper.
The reasons that led to this final decision are shrouded in mystery, according to his mother Kremena Petrova, who has also lived in Greece for 12 years.
“I arrived in Greece in January 2008 and in May my daughter arrived and settled in with me. Later she met her husband. During their 7 year marriage, they have raised 4 children so far. A daughter of Miglena and three of her marriage, ”says the grieving mother.
A witness claims to have seen the woman cry shortly before throwing herself into the ravine. Her testimony, which was circulated on the Internet, was later “downloaded”, leaving doubts about her husband’s role in the incident.
According to Kremena Petrova’s mother, the testimony about her daughter’s death is extremely contradictory. The husband of the late Bulgarian woman presents conflicting facts about the death on Greek television.
According to him, Miglena and he were a happy family, while according to his mother in 2019 Miglena left her husband and left with her and wanted a divorce. The reason she came back was because she was learning about her last pregnancy.
“I didn’t have a close relationship with them because I was against this marriage from the beginning. My son-in-law’s testimony is different.
I want to know the reason for my daughter’s final decision. Once they were happy, as she claims, she took her own life.
And where is the message that she sent him before he committed suicide? Why do they say there is no such thing, and the police told me that all their messages have been and have been downloaded, ”the mother continues to ask.
According to her, the message was sent at 6 p.m. to her son-in-law, who opened it at 6.45 p.m. print media, which published the text of the text message, which subsequently mysteriously disappeared.
“They have coffee. They had a fight there. My daughter takes the car and goes home. From there she kisses her oldest daughter and drives away in a nervous breakdown.
She stops at a spot, writes a text message, starts hitting the car and crying, according to a witness, after which he sees her throw herself off the rock into the abyss. However, the witness changed her testimony at the police station, ”says the mother.
The husband of the deceased Bulgarian denies that they have sent him a message on his mobile phone, in which his wife informed him that he would end his life.
“I don’t know what happened. I have many questions. We were three minutes apart. I followed her by car. In those minutes, did she decide to end her life? We were in love and happy. We even made plans the day before the incident,” he said.
Kremena Petrova’s mother asked to be questioned by the police, asked to speak in the Greek media, where her son-in-law came out and spoke, but so far they have only turned her down.
The Bulgarian Embassy in Athens has not been officially notified at the time of the event and the circumstances surrounding it. The Bulgarian consul took steps to establish contact with the Greek authorities and, following the signal, contacted the mother of the deceased.
