Former Egyptian national Mido “jumped” on Mohamed Salah and accused him of attending his brother’s wedding before Egypt’s qualification for the African Cup of Nations against Togo.
It was there that the Liverpool forward contracted a coronavirus and was isolated in a hotel, missing an important game. According to Mido, Salah should have neglected the situation and not attend the celebration.
“I know you can be attacked after your next comment. Mohamed Salah made a big mistake by attending his brother’s wedding just days before the national team game. He showed great negligence in taking measures to prevent coronavirus and the result it was that he got infected, ”said the former Tottenham striker.
“He did not have to attend his brother’s wedding, especially in those days. More than 800 people attended and half hugged and kissed Salah,” he added.
Mido also continued to attack the factors responsible for football in Egypt, calling them cowards for not taking any action.
“The other point here is the silence of all those responsible for the negligence of the player, which confirms that he is still bigger than the national team, and that will lead to a real failure,” said the former Egyptian national.
Salah is currently isolated in Egypt and a new test will take place on Thursday. If negative, the player can go to England to join Liverpool training for the next game with Leicester. At the moment, the footballer has no symptoms.
