After less than 20 minutes of play, the Champions League match between PSG and Istanbul Basaksehir was suspended. This happened after the Turkish national team left the field, accusing the fourth official Sebastian Cultescu of racism.

In the 14th minute, “Istanbul” assistant coach Pierre Webo was sent off with a red card from referee Ovidiu Hatzegan.

The Turkish team accused the fourth official of addressing his colleague on the radio with the words “this black” for Webo in explanation that he should be fired. For a long time, there were disputes throughout the band, and “Istanbul Basaksehir” substitute player Demba Ba was looking for a Cultescu account. This resulted in a red card for the attacker.

In the end, after almost 10 minutes of discussions, the players from the Turkish team decided to return to the dressing room, followed by those from PSG.

At the moment it is not known with certainty if the game will continue. The Turkish team flatly refuses to return to the field if Romanian referee Cultescu is involved in any way in the match, including as a video assistant referee.

Under UEFA rules, PSG can get an official 3-0 win if “Istanbul” refuses to play. Still no solution.
