Starting at 00:00 on December 22, the range of people arriving from Great Britain and Northern Ireland, who can enter the territory of Bulgaria, is expanded. The ban on entering the country does not apply to Bulgarian citizens or their families. There is no prohibition to enter our country and for people with permanent, long-term or long-term residence status on the territory of Bulgaria and their families.
This is stated in an order of the Minister of Health, Prof. Kostadin Angelov, issued today, announced the press center of the Ministry of Health.
We can also include:
– medical specialists, medical researchers, social workers and their supervisors, when the purpose of the trip is related to the profession they practice;
– workers involved in the supply of drugs, medical devices and personal protective equipment, medical equipment, including their installation and maintenance;
– transport personnel engaged in the international transport of passengers and cargo and goods, aircraft crews, aircraft maintenance personnel and other transport personnel as required, including ship crews and persons involved in the maintenance of ships ships
– officials (heads of state, members of government, etc.) and members of their delegations, as well as diplomats, members of the administrative and technical staff of foreign missions, employees of international organizations, the military, members of the security and public order services . and humanitarian workers in the performance of their duties, as well as their families;
– persons traveling for humanitarian reasons within the meaning of § 1, article 16 of the additional provisions of the Aliens Act in the Republic of Bulgaria;
– representatives of commercial, economic and investment activities and people directly related to: construction, maintenance, operation and guarantee of the security of the strategic and critical infrastructure of the Republic of Bulgaria, implementation of projects certified under the Investment Promotion Law , analysis of projects of potential investors and other activities of importance to the country’s economy, certified by letter from the Minister of Economy or another minister responsible for the respective activity, as well as people dedicated to shipbuilding and repair, as well as their families . The letter from the respective minister will be sent to the border control bodies;
– seasonal agricultural workers and workers in the tourism sector.
– persons passing through the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria in transit, when immediate departure to the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria can be guaranteed.
Please note that all persons arriving in Bulgaria, the point of departure for the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, are quarantined for 10 days at their home or at another location they have indicated for their residence.
In the mandatory ten-day quarantine is not subject only:
– officials (heads of state, members of government, etc.) and members of their delegations presenting a document showing a negative result of a polymerase chain reaction test carried out up to 48 hours before entering the country to demonstrate COVID-19 (PCR Test), from the date of the examination entered in the document;
– Truck drivers that transit through the country or carry out loading and unloading activities in the country when they carry out international transport of goods and merchandise;
– members of the ships’ crews, in case they do not leave the ship during the stay;
– the members of the crew of an aircraft operating flights to and from airports for public use on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria and persons engaged in the maintenance of the aircraft, in case they do not leave the aircraft, except for training prior to the mandatory flight, as the time your stay until takeoff of the next scheduled flight does not exceed 12 hours;
– transit through the territory of the country.
