A nervous Plovdiv resident was fined 200 BGN for daring to scare citizens waiting in line outside a neighborhood store in the Zapaden district with a gun, a reporter said. Plovdiv24.bg.

The incident took place shortly after 6 p.m. last Wednesday in front of a neighborhood store on Lerin Street in the Hristo Smirnenski neighborhood. Then there was a queue in front of the store. The offender got nervous from the wait and started an argument with other citizens.

Seconds later, the man began cursing another person in line and pulled out a compressed air pistol, which he brandished threateningly. The offender was drunk and his actions were noticed by many people, who were outraged by his behavior.

The police had to be called. Law enforcement officers detained the attacker and took him to the district police station. It turned out that the gun was not loaded. The man received an act of vandalism and was taken to court.

He admitted his guilt to the magistrates and expressed his regret. As the incident ended only in verbal disputes, the offender was fined 200 BGN.

The decision can be appealed.
