He is the only League 1 soccer player to have a COVID-19

Montpellier soccer player Junior Sambia was put into an artificial coma due to his coronavirus illness, French media reported. The 23-year-old midfielder was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday, being the only Ligue 1 soccer player to have a COVID-19.

“His condition is stable,” his manager Frederick Hera told Le Paris. Sambia strictly followed the isolation regulations, but was probably infected with the virus when buying from a store. The Montpellier midfielder had diarrhea for four days.
