A 34-year-old man beat a 3-year-old boy in Sofia. The violence took place Wednesday in an apartment in the Lyulin neighborhood.
The rapist was detained for 72 hours and brought to criminal responsibility, the prosecutor’s office said.
The child has three different minor injuries, without danger of death.
According to the state prosecutor’s office, the man hit the boy on the head. And the violence was committed with extreme cruelty.
Given the high public danger of the incident, on December 3 a prosecutor from the Sofia District Prosecutor’s Office ordered SR’s arrest for up to 72 hours. Tomorrow, 5 December, an application will be prepared and submitted to the Sofia District Court for a coercive “detention in custody” measure against the accused.
The accused can receive up to 3 years in prison.
