Plovdiv policeman Ventseslav Karadzhov, who at the end of November last year received a life sentence in the second instance without parole for the murder of his parents, appealed to the Supreme Court of Cassation. There he deposited about 80 handwritten pages because there was no computer in the prison. Karadjov claims to be innocent and wants to be acquitted. This was announced to “24 Chasa” by his lawyer Zoya Toshkova. She herself, as well as Karadzhov’s other defender, also attacked the punishment.

“In this case, the law was violated. There is a serious shortage of evidence, “said Toshkova, a former investigator. According to her, the trial collected data that had nothing to do with the crime, as Wenceslao was 20 years ago, at the same time that no evidence was examined related to the double murder.

The prosecution insists that the author of the execution of Bozhurka and Tsvetan Karadjovi is their own son. The prosecution believes he planned to kill them in cold blood. He searched the Internet for various ways to kill his parents, with whom he had deteriorated relationships: with mushrooms, mouse poison, mercury, acids, etc. The reason for the family war was a property at 68a Sofia Street in Plovdiv. He had a two-story house and an outbuilding. Karadjov insisted that his mother and father attributed it to him during his lifetime, but they saw no reason: he was their only heir. As a result, the conflict became increasingly fierce. The elderly couple filed dozens of complaints of harassment against their son. He also accused them of violence: he filed a complaint against his father for trying to kill him and issued a restraining order. The policeman recorded the scandals with his parents on his mobile phone. He uploaded the videos to his laptop in the “Bastards” folder.

The breakup came after the two parties started suing over the property. Three days before the shooting, the Karadjovs elders won the case.

“In order not to have to wait for the natural death of the two, which does not usually occur at the same time, he decided to kill them and thus become the sole owner of the property,” the appeals court said on its grounds. And he repeatedly stresses that the double murder was committed with extreme cruelty.

Tsvetan Karadzhov received 3 bullets and his wife, 5. According to the magistrates, the elderly were executed because they did not have the opportunity to escape or seek help.

The bloodbath is May 15, 2016 at the disputed property. Two days later, neighbor Anka Petkova went to see what was happening to the Karadjovs, as she was unable to contact them. The woman found their bodies in the annex where they lived. Peony was lying on the bed, and her husband? between the table and the chair.

Investigators say Karadjov broke into property hidden in the back of the family car, driven by his wife Kalya.

The gun with which the retirees were shot has not been found to this day.
