She is another victim of the teacher infection. Since the beginning of the school year, the coronavirus has claimed the lives of five teachers. His colleagues cannot believe what happened and the school is heartbroken.

The teacher’s death was sudden, just five days after it became clear that she was infected. Eileen was admitted to hospital on Saturday, but her condition drastically deteriorated. The 49-year-old woman was a widow and orphaned her 12-year-old son.

“Thank you, Eileen, for being part of the Sofia University” Vasil Levski “family, they wrote on the school’s Facebook page.

Among the victims is a 63-year-old primary school teacher in the municipality of Banite. Earlier this week, it became clear that the coronavirus had claimed the lives of two other teachers, from Shumen and Razgrad. The 49-year-old professor at Assen Zlatarov Vocational School of Public Catering and Chemical Technologies in Shumen died in a local hospital.

His 48-year-old colleague from NY Vaptsarov Elementary School in Razgrad was quarantined at home when his condition worsened. The woman was later hospitalized, but died despite the efforts of doctors.
