Two-time Olympic ice hockey champion Alexander Maltsev is fighting for his life. This was announced by hockey coach Dynamo (Moscow) Vladimir Krikunov, but did not specify what illness the legendary Russian hockey player is struggling with.
Maltsev, who turns 71 on April 20, is in a coma in a German hospital. He is one of the great ice hockey figures of the former USSR and one of the few who has not played for CSKA Moscow. The nine-time world champion is the great emblem of Dynamo hockey.
