A policeman died in MHAT-Sliven after a traffic accident between the villages of Radevo and Sokol. This was announced by the ODMVR-Sliven press center.
On December 2, around 8:45 p.m., the signal for an accident without victims was received on the III-556 road, between the towns of Radevo and Sokol. A police team from the Highway Control Group was dispatched to the Nova Zagora Police Department at the scene.
While repairing the accident, the official car was run over by a 39-year-old driver of a BMW 318 from the city of Stara Zagora.
The police car had its lights on in a special way. A police officer was injured in the collision. He was transported to MHAT-Sliven with serious injuries, where he later died.
The 39-year-old driver who caused the accident has superficial injuries.
His alcohol test showed 0.68 per thousand.
He was detained for 24 hours. OSO has launched an investigation into the case at the Sliven District Prosecutor’s Office.
