A drunk driver from Knezha caused a serious accident tonight and killed a man in the Roma neighborhood of Byala Slatina. The driver leaving town in a “Mercedes” collided with three pedestrians. The blow was so strong that a man was killed on the spot. Two women were seriously injured and hospitalized with head injuries.
The inappropriate driver was tested for alcohol consumption by a pharmacist and the result was positive. Police discovered that the driver was celebrating March 8 with a friend in the neighborhood, where he drank a solid amount of alcohol before getting behind the wheel.
Due to the fatal incident, many people from the neighborhood immediately gathered and wanted to lynch the driver, but the police kept the situation. A team was called in to control the tension.
