A dozen participants in the national conference of the “Together” movement, led by Alexander Tomov, blocked traffic on Cherni Vrah Boulevard in Sofia near the Hotel Marinela around 3 pm, BNR reports. They want the resignation of the prime minister and the chief prosecutor, as well as the 74th day of ongoing protests, traditionally held in the “triangle of power”, between the Council of Ministers, the former Party House, now the headquarters of the National Assembly, and the presidency.

Before the blockade, the Zaedno movement conference decided to work to form a broad coalition of programs to take over the Bulgarian government and called on political organizations supporting the protests to unite in the name of political change.

“Let the parties give way to civil society. Let us forget about political differences and leadership ambitions. Let those who made mistakes in the past correct themselves and overcome old misconceptions,” said one of the participants in the blockade.

Since Saturday night, the civic project “Democracy and Law” set up a tent in front of the presidency and began to collect signs of corruption, which it will send to the European institutions.
