There are 15 severe cases at Alexandrovska Hospital and remdesivir and hydroxychloroquine are used in the treatment of these patients. However, according to Professor Temelkov, there is no definitive evidence that they are sufficient for treatment. To address the staff shortage, the national intensive care consultant suggested that hospitals not involved in treating COVID infection send equipment to high-traffic hospitals.

We are used to many and few. We will expand the number of beds, we will go to the cinema that we used to see in the summer, when patients were housed in the corridors of hospitals, maybe we will make it. It will endure, at the expense of the enormous workload of the staff, said Professor Temelkov.
