The lifeless body of a Bulgarian was found last night in the vicinity of the Serbian city of Jagodina. The Bulgarian embassy in Belgrade said it was aware of the case and hoped to learn more details from the Serbian authorities, BGNES reported.

The spokeswoman for the city police, Gordana Cvetic, said he was a man with Bulgarian citizenship.

The prosecution ordered an autopsy on the body of the deceased to reveal the causes of his death, Belgrade television reported.

The 52-year-old man was found in the village of Kochina only in his underwear. He had a large wound on his forehead. His clothes, wallet, telephone, identity card were found, as well as the identity card of another Bulgarian citizen who left Serbia on August 24.

The deceased entered Serbia on August 24 through the Kalotina-Gradina checkpoint.
