A driver of a car crashed into a group of people this afternoon, Bild reported. According to information from the publication, a 12-year-old boy died and three people, including the driver, were seriously injured.
The incident took place in the state of North Rhine, Westphalia. The driver pulled out of the lane and headed toward the group, who were on the sidewalk at the time. The victims were taken by helicopter to the hospital.
A local police spokesman said there was no evidence of an intentional accident.
