A Spartan military plane flew today, March 24, from Sofia to Zadar, Republic of Croatia, to transport a COVID-19 military man to our country for treatment.

The military man is from the Krumovo Air Base and was trained with a group of his colleagues at the Training Center in Zadar, the Defense Ministry announced.
The plane took off today at 10.15am and landed back at Plovdiv airport at 3.15pm. In compliance with security measures, the military man was immediately transferred to receive treatment at the Plovdiv Military Hospital in moderate condition.
All contacts of the military group from the Krumovo Air Base, who were trained at the Training Center in Zadar, will pass a PCR test and will be quarantined.
Ambulances and teams from RHI – Plovdiv were dispatched to the scene and took over the case. An ambulance from the Military Medical Academy also arrived, where the sick will probably be transported.
Later, another flight is expected, which will bring COVID patients who are expected to land at the airport at 6:00 p.m.
