More than 30 are secondary earthquakes in the Rakovski area. Most of them, however, were not felt by the people there. One of the earthquakes was of magnitude 2.7 on the Richter scale.
Today there was an earthquake at 2 pm near Plovdiv. According to BAS, the earthquake was 4.5 Richter. The depth was 2.7 km.
An earthquake near Plovdiv, there is slight material damage
There is no information on injured people, but there is evidence of material damage. An uninhabited house in the middle of the slopes of Plovdiv, there are also chimneys and plaster of other buildings.
People say it was short but it felt strong, especially on high floors.
“We expect the earthquakes to continue for several days, but they will be weak,” said seismologist Emil Botev.
