Samsung has announced that the QLED 8K and 4K TV models have received a Biological Photo LED Hazard Certificate from Underwriters Laboratories (UL), a leading US-based science and technology company. USA, as well as a safety certificate from the Union of Electrical Engineers of Germany (Deutscher Elektrotechniker – VDE).
Therefore, Samsung has become the first manufacturer in the television industry to receive verifications that the various types of light emitted by the company’s QLED televisions do not pose a risk of photobiological LEDs. These certificates are based on the classification established by the IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) for the photobiological safety standard for vision.
Both safety certification institutions have tested the blue light, ultraviolet and infrared rays of the 65Q900T 8K and 65Q90T 4K models. These are the two Samsung QLED 2020 televisions that emit the brightest light.
