The measures taken in our fight against COVID-19 are timely, precise, precise and consistent with the psychology of the people. Prime Minister Boyko Borisov said this from the parliamentary rostrum during his audience with the deputies.

“The measures are fully in line with the WHO recommendations. That is why we created national crisis personnel with the best specialists,” said Borisov. He stressed that, according to data from the European Center for Disease Control, Bulgaria is currently in first place with the fewest number of patients per 100,000 people.

When asked by the BSP about the government’s plans to get out of the economic crisis, Borisov said the goal is to get all the funds that the state can allocate as quickly as possible to those in need.

“The countries much richer than us promise quite a few things, but in practice they have implemented very few measures,” stressed the prime minister. And he called on the opposition, if he had any concrete idea, to present it. “It will be a great pleasure working with you. When it all started, I personally called Ms. Cornelia Ninova and suggested that we go through this together. But they rejected me,” Borisov said.

In response to a question from the MRF, he explained that we currently have more than 60,000 coronavirus tests available. “We have the will and the resource to buy more, if they are sure. Many countries initially rushed to buy large amounts of evidence, which turned out to be inaccurate. Now they are judging and wondering how to return it,” Borisov explained.

“It is expected to save more than 120,000 jobs by the end of the month, thanks to measure 60/40,” said Borisov. He added that another 170 million BGN is being prepared.

“Our main objective now is to save money for workers, for pensioners,” explained the prime minister.

Registered unemployed have fallen nearly three times since early April, Borisov said. And he was adamant that the 60/40 framework was correct and working.

Speaking from the parliamentary rostrum, BSP leader Cornelia Ninova asked the cabinet to come up with a clearer plan to get out of the economic crisis. According to the Prime Minister’s audience, it was clear that the government had no plans to emerge from the crisis caused by the spread of the coronavirus. Starting an urgent medical reform in which hospitals are not commercial companies, Ninova addressed the Prime Minister from the parliamentary rostrum. According to the opposition leader, the unemployment forecast is also incorrect. Ninova emphasized that her party is ready to lend a hand to the ruling party. According to Ninova, consumption should increase, and this would only be possible by increasing income. The left has also asked for state grants.

“Categorically, the government, as well as everyone involved in the fight against the coronavirus so far, is doing well, let me say not very well, but they are doing the best they can.” We are talking about economics because Bulgaria has tackled its first major problem: mastering and extinguishing what other countries have failed and catastrophic. More than 1,000 people were killed per day in countries with much greater opportunities, with higher self-esteem, “said GHG Vice President Alexander Nenkov.

“We at MRF rated the anti-epidemiological measures at this stage as good. They have performed well compared to other countries.” MRF President Mustafa Carraday said this.

“Socioeconomic measures had to go in several directions: preserve jobs, protect the most vulnerable part of society and support liquidity for companies. All this had to be organized chronologically in light of budgetary possibilities. Until now, in In our opinion, these measures are satisfactory. The main thing here is what we have heard about the improved measure from 60 to 40, “he said.

“In the crisis, Bulgaria proved to be a responsible country,” said United Patriots MP, Iskren Veselinov. He urged politicians to stop explaining that things are going wrong in our country and focus on how to improve them.

WILLS leader Veselin Mareshki said parliament was “hostage to an internal BSP battle.” And he was adamant that the extraordinary hearing for the prime minister was a waste of time.

After the audience with journalists, Borisov thanked the Bulgarian citizens for acting conscientiously and for observing the security measures.

The plenary was also attended by Finance Minister Vladislav Goranov, Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev and Minister of Labor and Social Policy Denitsa Sacheva.
