BSP President Cornelia Ninova recalled that in December 2019, Lachezar Ivanov and other GERB lawmakers presented a proposal to reduce sanctions on drug users.
In BNT’s “The Day Begins with Georgi Lyubenov” study, Ninova showed a document in support of her claim. It is a letter from Attorney General Ivan Geshev to parliamentarians regarding this bill. He says that after the proposed amendment, all cases of driving after drug use or its analogues will be decriminalized and will result in these cases not being sanctioned. The proposal was not supported by the prosecutor’s office, Ninova said.
According to her, it is not the first time that laws through law make corruption corrupt and punishable.
“GERB has made corruption the norm,” Ninova is convinced.
He explained that the problem was not the amount of punishment, but the implementation of the law, regardless of which political party governs.
Yesterday’s statement by the prime minister that he was planning to end the state of emergency earlier than expected by Ninova identified as fear of public reaction.
“People have lost confidence in the proposed measures due to inconsistency, due to administrative chaos. When you see a public mood against yourself, you always give in,” said the BSP president.
According to the BSP, the loosening of the measures should begin.
Ninova explained that on Tuesday the BSP expects Borisov to attend the National Assembly and inform people about how the society’s money is spent.
The BSP leader warned that after the health problem the problem arose of how to recover the economy and how to help people. The left insists that two lines of assistance be followed: loans and government subsidies.
“Goranov has to understand his irony. He has not yet adequately taken into account the financial state of the state. People are suffering and irony is absolutely irrelevant in this case,” said Finance Minister Ninova.
He explained that during the BSP crisis, many concrete measures were proposed. The emphasis is on caring for people. Proposals include, as soon as the state of emergency ceases, a new model of medical care, urgent reduction of VAT on medicines, care for medical professionals with state regulation to determine payment.
