No one else is warning so strongly and so long ago about what we are experiencing today: the pandemic. Bill Gates has been writing articles, posting videos, and participating in scientific forums for years, trying to draw the world’s attention to this danger. The foundation, founded by him and his wife, Melinda, has donated billions of dollars to improve health, develop vaccines, and benefit the World Health Organization.
Bill Gates has also argued many times with German Chancellor Angela Merkel. In a closed circle, he says he hardly knows any other politician who is as interested in the subject as former scientist Merkel. The Chancellery, however, says Angela Merkel is corresponding with him.
Legends and lies
Immediately after the outbreak of the pandemic, Gates kept his distance. He generally declined interview invitations, likely to avoid criticizing governments that have ignored his warnings. In recent weeks, however, the billionaire has spoken again.
Gates recalls, in particular, the urgent steps to take. For example: preparing the necessary vaccine production facilities around the world. When the vaccine is ready, equitable distribution should also be considered, even in poor countries, he said. And Gates criticized President Gates for his decision to suspend WHO contributions.
Paradoxically, in certain settings, Bill Gates’ engagement and warnings suddenly turn negative. A perverse plan was attributed to him: he wanted to rule the entire world and exercise control over each person. It even caused a pandemic to sell vaccines and drugs.
Most of these legends come from the United States, where they are spread by far-right activists, various media, and networks. The right-wing alternative to Germany also confirmed these theories and accused Gates of wanting to introduce “crown control” over people and subject infected people to “digital certification.” And in an interview last month, Bill Gates said the following: “It is very difficult to ask what structures should continue to operate. Supply food and health systems, for sure. We need more water, electricity and the Internet. Supply key products.” You need to make sure. Individual countries are still considering what they should continue to do. One day we will also have some digital certificates to understand who recovered, who was recently tested and who was vaccinated. “
In other words: Gates talked about providing essential goods and services, but on social media they were quick to accuse him of wanting to implant microchips in people. These lies go wrong with other known conspiracy theories, so Gates quickly suspects that he wants to control and direct people through the 5G network and the dummy chips in question. A German website stated that the goal was universal vaccination against COVID-19, through which “eugenics like Bill Gates takes power over our health, our reproduction and our death.”
Pandemic disinformation
All the lies in Bill Gates are based on a few short quotes, taken out of context and completely misinterpreted. And its foundation, which operates in full transparency, presents itself as a dubious and mysterious network for shadowy purposes.
A New York Times analysis found that Facebook has more than 16,000 states for Bill Gates and the virus, which have generated around 1 million reactions and comments. And on YouTube, over 5 million people have watched the ten most popular videos spreading Gates’ misinformation.
In summary: the pandemic has also led to a true disinformation epidemic. And Bill Gates has become the global redeeming lamb of conspiracy theorists.
