“It is indisputable that the Bulgarian economy cannot remain in quarantine mode indefinitely, we monitor the data every day, we do analyzes,” said Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev in the BNT Panorama study.

According to him, if one has to be proud, Bulgarian society is the best.

“I hope that as soon as the measures are liberalized, this happens in stages,” he stressed.

Donchev expressed his hope that, as a society, we can avoid the most unfortunate scenario we can enter.

“Right now, we manage, but we’re too excited not to underestimate the infection and it will hit us. At any difficult time, we teach lessons, let’s be good enough students to teach them. At the epicenter of the crisis, I’m not sure Make it time for lessons, but I dare to think about that too, “said the deputy prime minister.

He emphasized that between 55 and 60% of the economy works, and more than 90,000 workers from approximately 7,000 businesses will now receive funds under the “60/40” measure, for which the state has allocated $ 1.5 billion.

“The one who orders is working, but there are entire sectors that are frozen at this time,” admitted the deputy prime minister.

However, he expressed positivism:

“Bulgaria will have good medium-term prospects. A strategic reserve of industries should remain in Europe. Bulgaria has an opportunity, as our country has preserved similar industries, for example textiles, although on a limited scale.”

Donchev defined the support of companies in crisis as a simplified system. I was convinced that for small businesses it would be a real help, with a wide possibility of what kind of expenses can be covered, since our country works on a model that is applied in other countries.

According to him, the parliament can give the example of other collective bodies and deputies to sit remotely. According to him, the effectiveness of online meetings in the Council of Ministers has not diminished.

“But it’s not my job to treat yourself of the Bulgarian Parliament, “Tomislav Donchev emphasized about GERB’s decision not to attend an extraordinary meeting in which Prime Minister Boyko Borisov had to be heard.

However, the ruling party said there was no point in the National Assembly becoming a center of contagion, given that it gave information sessions almost daily.
