The growth rate of new coronavirus cases worldwide is declining for the third consecutive week. In the past few days, it’s 26%, compared to 50% recorded in early April.

However, since the beginning of April, the death rate has increased to 7%. This means that every 14 infected in the world has died as a result of COVID-19.

According to the latest figures, today, every 100,000 people in the world are infected with 34 people, compared to 19 weeks ago.

However, the rate of increase of those infected has decreased. Compared to this, however, the death toll is increasing: from 6.7% to 7%.

In three weeks, the death toll rose 3.7 times, from 50,000 to 186,000.

According to the latest data, 750,000, or 28% of all infected, have recovered.

At the beginning of the month, this indicator was 2.6 lower. Compared to last week, they are 250,000 more.

Statistics show a decrease in the growth of COVID-19 in the five countries that have registered the highest contamination.

For example, in the United States, where the coronavirus situation remains the most tense, the number of newly confirmed new cases has stopped at approximately 30,000 cases: weekly growth has slowed from 41% to 24%.

In Spain, the weekly increase in cases is 20% compared to 33% in the previous 7 days. In Italy and France, the number of infected people increased by only 10%, in Germany, 8%.
