There will be a beach! Professor Radka Argirova said when exactly the K-19 epidemic would be eliminated

Prof. Dr. Radka Argirova before “Maritza“The measures taken by the state to stop the spread of the coronavirus, when will it have a cure and how long will the epidemic last.

– Madam professor, is COVID-19 completely resolved? Or at least to the extent that the vaccine is done?

– From January 3, 2020, the Chinese published the complete sequence of the COVID-19 viral genome, which means not only the complete composition, such as amino acids and nucleotides, but also their location.

What is being done now: By consensus among several groups of scientists, the most conservative areas of the virus are being identified so that they can be used in a future vaccine as an antigen. This means that the vaccine must be universal for everyone and for all variants of the virus, even if there are mutants.

“Did you at least make it clear where this miracle came from?” Bats or pangolins that many have never heard of being animals?
“But virologists are terribly familiar. Pangolin can carry “virus ports” as it is literally translated from English. Terrible animal! But it is widespread in the caves, which were quite numerous in Hubei province, the capital of which is Wuhan, where the pandemic began.

The bats that live in them carry the infection from pangolins to seafood markets. The virus gradually began to adapt to organisms that it had not known before. And therefore, the period during which it reached the human body is unknown. We know 7 types of coronaviruses and they all go through bats.

– However, many doubt that there are developments in laboratories that have been omitted for one reason or another.

– no! There’s no such thing.

– How did COVID-19 appear in Pangolin, was there any mutation?
– This virus is very similar to the SARS known in 2003, in Bulgarian – SARS. But it was limited very quickly. There was talk of a vaccine again, but SARS limited itself and things stayed that way. And how did it happen?

All science has been devoted to fighting the epidemic, and this is not the time to investigate the subject of your question. Maybe in time it will be seen! Clear!

– Does this mean that there may be new and new waves of coronavirus variants in the future?
– This is the normal course of history. There have been and will be millions of mutations. 2003 hrs is TORS, 2008 – MERS, which started from camels in the Arab world, also arrived in South Korea. But again, he limited himself.

Quickly, it did not reach us, but the World Health Organization instructed us in a similar way to this now. Then came the swine flu. There are periodic epidemics, but they have not been acquired in years. Such a pandemic is comparable to the so-called pandemic. Spanish flu of 1918-20.

“Why are the viruses mentioned above self-restricting, and did it literally explode around the world?”
“Because millions of people were given the opportunity to cross. The first departed from a certain area but did not extend. Like the Ebola that I missed. In 2014, it exploded in Central Africa, but was not allowed to spread beyond its initial regions.

– In this sense, could not Europe be protected from the first great blow outside Asia?
– Certainly, definitely! But Europe seemed to realize late that fear was coming! Many governments responded too late or underestimated the risk.

– What does it mean that the virus in particular killed the first Italy en masse, not France or Germany, for example?
– There were several isolated cases in Europe that did not receive the care they needed! Even the WHO is a little late! In Italy, in particular, there have been several events that have contributed to the spread of the virus.

That “great” Atalanta – Valencia match, more than 40,000 people shouted and rejoiced. Only 20 days later the great horror arrived! Fear! There was also a concert. The peak and death has come!

– How much more dangerous is COVID-19 than the other viruses mentioned in recent years?
– It is not so dangerous, mortality is lower. With Ebola, it cannot be a comparison. The death rate is much higher there. Also with swine flu, but I am talking about an epidemic, not individual cases, as happened in Bulgaria.

Even with the common flu, the death rate is lower. It spread rapidly and spread to almost everyone.

– In this context, how do you assess the measures taken by the authorities in Bulgaria?
– Early, timely and good. But not for everyone. In what sense: for the public: good, but very weak in terms of sensitizing health professionals especially about the virus. And the treatment, the form of transmission and the development of the epidemic. Weak in that regard!

– Are native doctors already aware after the Council of Medical Experts made recommendations?
– They’re practically learning on the go.

– An annoying but inevitable question: when will the COVID-19 peak be in Bulgaria? And most importantly: how long will it slow down?
– Yes, the peak does not end. It is starting to fall, which is also very dangerous. It will have more cases, but some measures will be announced. Or there should be such a weakening of the regime. And then they have to say what the measurements will be.

A long time ago I said that the peak would be in mid-May because I associate it with Easter and Palm Sunday. However, quite a few people did not obey the vacation measures and this will disappear in 15-20 days.

“And how long will the epidemic last?”
‘A month, a month and a half.

– So can we count July 1 as the date for a complete return to normal?
– I even consider it on August 1!

– Will it be the end of the epidemic, which means an opportunity for a break at sea?
– I think so.

– There is evidence, especially in China and South Korea, of reinfecting patients.
That is not true. It is long for explanation and too scientific. Yet. For one thing, there is evidence of false negatives. There were those who lied. The duration of viral RNA decay is prolonged in some people. So it works.

Professor Dra. Radka Argirova is one of the most respected native virologists and is currently part of the team at the Tokuda Hospital in Sofia. President of the Bulgarian Society of Medical Virology with a series of scientific articles in the field of vaccines and AIDS treatment.

He participates in the Council of Medical Experts already dissolved to the Government, which publishes recommendations for doctors. Professor Argirova gave an interview specifically about Maritza at a time when the disputes did not stop, for how long the state of emergency should continue and whether the restrictive measures should be released.
