The suspension of the voting machine is carried out by decision of the CEC. This was stated by commission spokesman Dimitar Dimitrov. From the second CEC briefing on Election Day, it became clear that the main issues were technical issues with the devices.
If automatic voting is suspended, continue with the ballot only. However, stopping the process with a machine does not eliminate the votes cast. They remain stored on the devices.
Dimitar Dimitrov explained that the CEC had not received a signal or complaint about unrest from Prime Minister Boyko Borissov.
“The CEC is doing its best not to get involved in the turmoil. We are reviewing each signal very carefully,” he added.
Otherwise, there are many signs of turmoil on Facebook.
Participation at 12 noon is 18.14%. The lowest number of people willing to vote in Kardzhali is 12.13%. The highest stake is in Sliven: 24.87%. The CEC said that compared to the previous elections, the current turnout is slightly lower. In 2017, 27.7% of voters voted before noon.
