A man died after fainting in front of a polling station.
The signal was received at 14:03. A 50-year-old man became ill and passed out in front of the 53rd polling station in Petrich. He was taken by ambulance to a hospital, where he died, Nova TV reported.
TO Blagoevgrad region turnout at 12 o’clock was 17.22 percent, previously announced by the District Election Commission (DEC) in Blagoevgrad.
The highest voter turnout was registered in Bansko Municipality: 29.22 percent, followed by Kresna and Belitsa, where around 28 percent of voters exercised their right to vote. The lowest in the district remains the share in the municipality of Blagoevgrad: 11 percent.
More than 10 complaints and signals were received before 1 pm at REC – Blagoevgrad, said Yordan Simonski, vice president of REC Blagoevgrad. Some of them are related to violations of the electoral process, others are due to non-compliance with anti-epidemic measures in the sectional electoral commissions. The signals are being tested and the results will be released later today, the DEC vice president said.
In one of the Blagoevgrad polling stations, the voting machine is damaged and the problem is difficult to fix, Simonski said. In this section, the vote will continue with paper ballots, which are delivered enough, he added.
A sign of the impossibility of automatic voting in Petrich is also being verified, announced the District Election Commission.
