President Rumen Radev votes with a PERSONAL machine: bTV
The head of state voted by machine and again asked the Bulgarians to take control of their destiny
There will be a decree for the separation of Obzor from Nessebar after the census in autumn, as required by law.
President Rumen Radev voted with a machine at his polling station at the McGahan Vocational School of Transportation in Sofia. He waited his turn in front of the section and most of the people were surprised to vote for them.
President Rumen Radev votes with a PERSONAL machine: bTV
I voted against the disintegration of statehood, anarchy and corruption, for a free and prosperous Bulgaria. Although it is difficult, the Bulgarians are taking their destiny into their own hands today and these elections will be the first step to return to normalcy, to return to the laws and rules, to realize the power of collective action, to unleash the enormous people’s potential. He said. I was happy after my vote.
He called on all Bulgarians to vote, “otherwise, history will send us to a correctional democracy.” Let us all vote today to have a representative and dignified parliament, he said. Radev said that he has been voting in this section for a long time and this is the first time he has seen such activity. This shows that there is indeed a commitment of the Bulgarians to these elections. Otherwise, the elections should have been much earlier, last year: chaos would have been avoided, the lives of many Bulgarians would have been saved, thousands of Bulgarian families and businesses would have been saved from bankruptcy, Radev added. According to him, the Bulgarians felt that the stakes were high in these elections.
This was not a classic campaign. We wanted to see more clash of ideas, visions and visions of the parties on how to develop Bulgaria from now on, and not go into the personal field of compromising wars, Radev commented. He hoped that a stable parliament with legitimacy would be elected to have a strong and stable government.
Radev commented for the first time on the spy scandal about the export of information to Russia by the Bulgarian army. If the court confirms the breakthrough in personal security, it means that we have a deep internal problem that compromises not only national security, but also that of allies, and severely discredits Bulgaria. Therefore, instead of boasting, we must have answers to difficult questions: why the high officials of the National Assembly and the Ministry of Defense, whose inspections and approvals are issued by services directly subordinate to the Prime Minister, betray our national security, Radev. order. Why is the fact that the organization and control of the classified information protection policy is carried out by the Council of Ministers ignored, he asked. Therefore, I expected not only a complete investigation, but also an in-depth analysis of the reasons that lead to such a state of our national security and, above all, effective measures to strengthen it.
Therefore, the next government has a lot of work to do to restore statehood after the current prime minister, the head of state added.
A decree for the separation of Obzor from Nessebar and its transformation into an independent municipality can be issued only after the census in autumn, Radev explained. My decision must be in accordance with the law. The proposal that the Council of Ministers sent me contradicts the population census law, according to which there can be no administrative-territorial changes from the preliminary survey until the end of the census, explained the president. This is required by law, however, the Council of Ministers proposed that a decree be issued, but this is possible when the census is completed in September, he added.
After that, Radev stopped accepting the greetings of the citizens.
