Hours before Easter, France enters a third consecutive lockdown amid a deteriorating epidemic. The French can choose the area in which to isolate themselves.
Preparations for Easter go hand in hand with those for another quarantine in France.
The measures, which are in force in some 20 regions, including Paris, will be applied throughout the country from 7:00 p.m.
Those who want to spend the days closed to the air in the field can still do so during the holidays, but it will be prohibited from Tuesday.
After most stores closed, food chains and markets remained almost the only meeting place. They are lively, and there are long lines in front of the traditional Easter chocolate shops, which are also privileged to remain open.
Unlike last year, the churches are open to visitors, but Easter services are in line with the 7 p.m. afternoon schedule, most of which will take place early on Sunday.
New to the restrictions is the total prohibition of alcohol in public places, and outdoor gatherings are allowed up to 10 km from the house with a maximum of six people. The atmosphere is a bit more serene than last year.
