Former US President Donald Trump has called for a boycott of companies and organizations that have spoken out against Georgia’s new electoral law, TASS reported. The information was announced yesterday by Fox News.

Several companies and organizations, including the Baseball League, Coca-Cola, and Delta Airlines, have condemned the changes to Georgia’s election law.

“It’s time for Republicans and Conservatives to oppose it; we have a lot more people than they (Democrats),” Trump said, calling for a boycott of the companies.

“Don’t buy their products until they give in,” Trump said. Some Georgia lawmakers removed Coca-Cola products from their offices in protest, Fox News reported.

The law passed in Georgia introduced stricter voter registration requirements, including the requirement to present an identity document, introduced restrictions on remote voting and limited voting until Election Day. In addition, it is forbidden to distribute water and food to people who line up at polling stations.

Last week, US President Joe Biden condemned the law, comparing it to discriminatory “Jim Crow” laws, which until the 1960s continued to de facto restrict the rights of blacks in the United States, recalls TASS.
