Bug Boyko Borissov the new route of the Trakia highway
Prime Minister Boyko Borissov announced today that in a week the repaired route near Chirpan will be ready and the Trakia Highway will be fully open for the spring season.
“Within 3-4 days the wear layer will be applied, as well as the railings. Soon the Bulgarians will be able to travel freely,” he said.
Borissov is on inspection together with regional deputy minister Nikolay Nankov. They are checking a road under construction, revealing images on the prime minister’s Facebook profile. This is the repaired section of the “Trakia” highway, it had to be renovated from scratch due to poor construction during the Triple Coalition.
There is a flood of bulldozers and tractors here, the prime minister said.
“A lot of work was rejected, they dug to the bottom and everything was done again to ensure that it is of good quality. The railings are also new, everything is new,” Borissov said.
“Here is our army of rollers, excavators, trucks. There is no Saturday, there is no Sunday,” said the prime minister and approached the workers to talk.
Borissov spoke to a young worker who told him that he liked his job because it gave him pleasure to do something that he had left behind. Another worker thinks this section of the road will be the best for driving.
