The key word today, in my opinion, is solidarity, union. This was stated after the meeting of the European Council of Prime Minister Boyko Borissov.
“We discuss the K-19 issue in the most extensive way, from the status of the pandemic in individual countries and most importantly, vaccination.
We agree that the dissemination of vaccines should be distributed in a way that helps all Member States to emerge from the pandemic at the same time.
I am satisfied with the difficult discussions. “I think all Member States have understood how important it is for the world to know that everyone will receive proportionally how many vaccines are needed,” he said.
“The fight against this pandemic requires vaccination.” The fundamental thing that we have agreed on is that the distribution of vaccines should be the same for everyone, “he added.
All Bulgarians will receive proportional vaccinations, as many as necessary, he added.
It was also clear from his words that the Russian Sputnik V vaccine will be approved in June at the earliest.
Borissov noted that the digital certificate will allow people to move freely in the EU. And the “green certificate” will be at the service of an easier movement, and will avoid a possible quarantine.
Borissov also said that the meeting also discussed the relationship between the EU and Turkey, as well as tensions in the Mediterranean. “Currently, relations are improving,” he said.
Boyko Borissov noted that European leaders had supported the Bulgarian prosecution in the spy scandal. “But we should not spend more energy on this issue. We have always said that in our relations with Turkey and Russia, dialogue is the only solution to problems,” he said.
Borissov also said that our country will prepare next year for the adoption of the euro.
