Dr. Stoycho Katsarov: Be Prepared for an Even Higher Number in Death Toll – Diseases

We now register 4,000 people a day. We will see the deaths of this morbidity at 20 days, that is. you must be prepared to see an even higher number in the death toll. This is the opinion of Dr. Stoycho Katsarov, Chairman of the Board of the Center for the Protection of Rights in Health Care.

“This blockade, which was necessary, came late. Already at the end of February, the trend of increasing cases was clearly visible,” the expert told Bulgaria on air.

He added that currently reported deaths are between 100-150 per day. This, according to the expert, means that every day a plane with passengers falls.

The Minister of Health commented on Bulgaria’s entry into the black mortality ranking

The general practitioner, Dr. Nikolay Branzalov, commented that we have a lot of patients at the moment.

“Somewhere around 10% of them need hospitalization. As an absolute number, they are very large,” he said.
