They found that in some patients, the drug elicited a very strong response that caused their body to produce platelets. The researchers examined the blood of six patients with thrombosis. In total, the vaccine has activated platelets in the blood. This usually happens in wounds; then the platelets become activated, causing the blood to clot and the wound to close.
In some people, the vaccine triggers a mechanism that leads to blood clots in the brain. Because researchers have clearly identified this mechanism, it has been possible to immediately find the right treatment for such conditions. There are medications and they are 100% effective. They can not be prescribed prophylactically, but only in case of complications. Treatment prevents the formation of a blood clot.
